Volleyball Loses on the Road, 3-0, to Jefferson



Goldey-Beacom received more solid play, facing a 0-3 setback (12-25, 9-25, 12-25) against Jefferson in Philadelphia, PA.

The Lightning showed strong defensive play in the second set, holding the Rams to their fewest kills of the match. Jefferson proved difficult to control, totaling 40 kills with a hitting percentage of .415.

Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) continued to show her experience and handling, recording 15 assists. Freshman Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) controlled the defensive end, notching 12 digs, while fellow freshman Nina Bongiovanni (San Tan Valley, Ariz.) totaled five kills.

Victoria Hamby recorded 19 assists, with Kristina Guenther totaled 14 of her own. Morgan Ritchie finished with 11 kills.

Goldey-Beacom take a trip up to Pleasantville, NY on Saturday to compete in a tri-match against Mercy and Pace. The matches are scheduled to start at 1pm and 3pm.
