Volleyball Handed 3-0 Loss at Lincoln


 
Goldey-Beacom played solidly throughout against Lincoln University, but was dealt a 3-0 loss (17-25, 18-25, 25-27) in Lincoln University, PA.

The Lions took control early in the first set, totaling 34 attacks to win the first set. The third set saw the Lightning battle, keeping the Lions at a 0.242 hitting percentage in comparison to the 0.407 percentage in the second set.

Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) totaled18 assists, senior Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) pounded nine kills, Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) totaled 12 digs and fellow freshman Nina Bongiovanni (San Tan Valley, Ariz.) recorded 10.

Haley Loper had 12 kills for the Lions, Janaa Smith totaled 16 assists, Jaida Lumpkin recorded 12 assists and Mariah Webster finished with 10 digs.

"The match tonight was very high energy.  We improved every game and I am excited to see how we continue to improve throughout the season," head coach Taylor Rapuano said. 

"Tonight highlighted our team's checmistry, and our energy," freshman Megan Chesser (Grove City, Ohio) said. "We are improving with every game and are looking forward to playing Mercy this weekend."

Goldey-Beacom plays at home on Saturday in a matchup against Mercy, beginning at noon.
