Goldey-Beacom saw four of its student-athletes picked for Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Awards with freshman Morgan McLane (Clayton, DE) named Softball's Player and Rookie of the Week, senior Chrissy Jordan (Pasadena, MD) picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll, freshman Karla Chardon (Penns Grove, NJ) tabbed Women's Track Rookie of the Week and junior Connor Megginson (Harbeson, DE) named to Baseball's Weekly Honor Roll.

McLane went 3-0 on the week eight strikeouts over 14 innings, permitting just three runs – one earned – and eight hits.  She had three strikeouts over six innings in pitching a two-hit shutout Tuesday at Chestnut Hill, struck out two Wednesday at Lincoln and notched three strikeouts over six innings Saturday vs. Nyack.  McLane also batted .625 (5-for-8) on the week, getting two hits that included an RBI double in Tuesday's opener at Chestnut Hill.

McLane more than excelled in her debut campaign, elevating to number one pitcher in addition to providing quality at-bats.  She had 10 victories that are tied for ninth in the team's single-season history and put her seventh this year in the league and 74 strikeouts that are tied for seventh in team annals and are ninth this year in the CACC.  McLane also was third in the league with a .203 batting average against and 19th with six complete games.

Jordan batted .471 (8-for-17) on the week with three doubles, a home run and six RBI.  She notched two hits in each game Tuesday at Chestnut Hill, getting three RBI in game one and two doubles in the nightcap.  Jordan also had two hits in game one Saturday vs. Nyack before getting two big sacrifice flies in the finale.

Also giving the Lightning great play both at the plate and in the circle, Jordan is 22nd in the league with 24 RBI, 23rd with a .308 batting average against, 30th with a .342 batting average and 30th with 22 strikeouts.

Chardon placed ninth in the 100-meter dash over 12.63 seconds Saturday at the Paul Kaiser Classic.  Outside of her nomination, she ended second in the javelin by covering 38.78 meters.

It has been a strong debut campaign for Chardon, who won both the javelin at 35.14 meters and the 200-meter dash in 27.86 seconds at the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet.  That was before claiming the javelin title by covering 35.66 meters at the Golden Ram Invitational.

Megginson batted .444 (8-for-18) on the week with three doubles and seven RBI.  He notched two hits and three RBI in game one Saturday at Nyack, two hits and two RBI in game two and then had two hits Sunday in game two at Wilmington.

Megginson has shown great versatility in his time with the Lightning whether at second base, where he was picked second team all-league a season ago, or in right field where he has made several outstanding catches to end critical rallies.  He is 20th in the league with 31 RBI, 24th with 43 hits and this season reached 100 career hits.

The track & field squads are in action Saturday and Sunday at the CACC Championship in Lakewood, NJ.  The baseball team hosts Jefferson in a CACC first-round, best-of-three series with games one and two on Friday and an if-necessary game on Saturday.
