Goldey-Beacom's basketball teams saw two more honors come their way from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with junior Mickey Williams (Wamboin, Australia) named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week and freshman Zayon Marsh (Maplewood, NJ) picked to the Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.

Williams averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds over two games.  She had her best game to date Tuesday against Georgian Court, recording career bests of 25 points and seven 3-pointers in addition to shooting 8-of-14 from the floor.  Williams also scored 11 points to go with five assists Sunday at No. 14 Indiana (PA).

Williams has been an extremely valuable asset to the squad both from an offensive and defensive perspective.  She is 36th in the league with 16.5 points per game, ninth with a .375 three-point percentage and 11th with 15 three-pointers.

Marsh appears on the list after twice being named the league's Rookie of the Week.  He had yet another solid week, averaging 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds over two games.  Marsh shot 54 percent (13-of-24) from the field to go with five blocks, five steals and four assists.  He had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three steals Tuesday vs. Georgian Court before getting 19 points and seven rebounds Thursday at Saint Rose.

After redshirting a season ago, Marsh has had an explosive beginning to the season and has helped the Lightning continue their ascent in the league.  He is third in the conference with 17.9 points per game, first with 20 steals, sixth with 7.9 rebounds per contest, seventh with 54 field goals and 25th with a .478 field goal percentage.

The men's team is in action Monday at Adelphi for a 7:30 pm contest and the women are home Tuesday against Shippensburg, beginning at 6:00 pm.
