Volleyball Handed 3-0 Setback by Dominican (NY)



Goldey-Beacom gave its best during Homecoming and Lightning Family Weekend, but was dealt a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (22-25, 17-25, 22-25) by Dominican (NY) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Goldey-Beacom once again persevered and had the lead deep into the first and third sets.  But Dominican closed the first set on a 7-1 run and end the match with six unanswered points.
 
Sophomore Piper Nanouski (Ottawa, IL) had 17 kills and 10 digs for her second double-double of the season, senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) recorded 26 assists and freshman Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) notched 15 digs for GBC (0-19, 0-8 CACC)
 
Aaliyah Ellis had 11 kills and a .588 hitting percentage, Elizabeth Perez notched 10 kills, Allesandra Pantoja recorded 34 assists and Linda Armao Peng added 18 digs for the Chargers (9-9, 7-3).
 
Goldey-Beacom next Tuesday is on the road at Holy Family.  Match time in Philadelphia is at 6:00 pm.
