Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Holy Family



Goldey-Beacom continued to face tough Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition, falling 3-0 (8-25, 20-25, 13-25) to Holy Family in Philadelphia, PA.

The Lightning showed impressive defensive intensity in the second set. They held the Tigers to a hitting percentage of just .125, in comparison to the first and third sets of .467 and .407.

Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) continues her control of the offense, notching 11 assists to pair with five digs. Sophomore Piper Nanouski (Ottawa, Ill.) totaled seven kills and junior Rachel Cohen (Port Deposit, MD) ended with seven digs for GBC (0-20, 0-9 CACC).

Morgan Steck had 31 assists, Faith Zehnder recorded 12 kills and Shelby Kinzer totaled 10 kills with a .667 hitting percentage for the Tigers (11-9, 9-0).

Goldey-Beacom returns home Thursday to host a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match against Jefferson at 7pm in the Joseph West Jones Center.
