Volleyball Handed 3-0 Loss by Jefferson



Goldey-Beacom did its best against the reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion, but was dealt a 3-0 loss (9-25, 12-25, 13-25) by Jefferson at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Rams notched 12 kills in each set and closed with a .412 hitting percentage in addition to a 36-19 kills edge.
 
Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) closed with 15 assists and nine digs for the Lightning (0-21, 0-10 CACC).  She now is at 2,114 career assists with second place in school history held by Danielle Hicks (2005-07).
 
Senior Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) recorded five kills for Goldey-Beacom and remains second in team annals, now with 1,087 career.
 
Morgan Ritchie had eight kills and a .438 percentage, Aja Smith recorded seven and .455, Jess Molen notched seven kills and Kristine Guenther added 24 assists for the Rams (13-6, 8-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Saturday to face Bridgeport at noon and West Chester at 4:00 pm.
