Volleyball Falls, 3-0, at Post



A long trip to New England resulted in a tough match for Goldey-Beacom, which was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (15-25, 10-25, 13-25) at Post in Waterbury, CT.
 
The Lightning showed life in the opening set with nine kills, but the Eagles closed that span with 12.  Post in the third set had 12 kills and just two errors over 22 attacks for a .455 hitting percentage.
 
Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) dished 17 assists, sophomore Piper Nanouski (Chicago, IL) had nine kills and junior Rachel Cohen (Port Deposit, MD) added eight digs for the Lightning (2-26, 1-14 CACC).
 
Maria Fernanda Branco recorded 16 assists, Izabella Rae had 10, Alyssa Groves notched 10 digs and Datari Mathis added seven kills for the Eagles (9-19, 7-10).
 
Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday visits Georgian Court for a 6:00 pm match in Lakewood, NJ.
