Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss at Wilmington (DE)


 
Goldey-Beacom faced Wilmington (DE), on of the top teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and gave them a run for their money in the third set before falling 3-0 (10-25, 14-25, 21-25) in Newark, DE.
 
The Lightning hung around in the third set, recording 10 kills and a hitting percentage of .269 over the Wildcats' percentage of .240. The Wildcats claimed the first set with a .381 hitting percentage and just two errors, and the second with a percentage of .242.
 
Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) continues to tally up her assists, recording 23 on the match. Freshman Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) notched 15 digs, while sophomore Piper Nanouski (Chicago, Ill.) totaled eight kills for the Lightning (2-24, 1-12 CACC).
 
Katie Bushong dished 27 assists, Elly Collins notched 11 digs, and Sydney Hicks totaled nine kills for the Wildcats (14-14, 10-5 CACC).
 
Goldey-Beacom head up to Waterbury, CT on Saturday to face Post at 11am.
