Volleyball Handed 3-0 Loss by Chestnut Hill



Senior Night was not enough to carry Goldey-Beacom over the top as it was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (22-25, 11-25, 14-25) by Chestnut Hill at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Goldey-Beacom in the opening set almost played Chestnut Hill to a standstill with each recording 12 kills.  But over the final two sets, the Griffins had a 24-15 kills advantage and forced the Lightning into 15 errors.
 
Sophomore Piper Nanouski (Chicago, IL) had 13 kills, senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) notched 24 assists and junior Rachel Cohen (Port Deposit, MD) added 11 digs for the Lightning (2-24, 1-12 CACC).
 
Henielys Ramos amassed 12 kills, Erika Dubosky had 10, Mia Caporellie notched 27 assists and 10 digs with Mikayla Grimes adding 11 digs for the Griffins (13-12, 9-5).
 
Spendlove and senior Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) each were honored before the match for their time with the Lightning.  Spendlove is second in school history in assists and Boyce is second in kills.
 
Goldey-Beacom returns to action Thursday at Wilmington (DE).  Match time in Newark is at 7:00 pm.
