Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls 3-0 to Holy Family

Goldey-Beacom came up against a top team in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, falling 3-0 to Holy Family, who currently sit in third place, at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field.

An early third minute goal by the Tigers opened up the scoring. Dakota Taylor drilled a 20-yard shot, assisted by Gavin Rowan. The Lightning showed creative play in the first half but the Tigers defense could not be breached.

Second half scoring began in the 52nd minute, once again with Taylor, who finished a ten-yard shot off a deflection to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. The final goal was scored by Joel Richmond in the 64th penalty, who finished in the bottom right corner.

Johan Hajj (Falkenberg, Sweden) totaled two shots on the match. Freshman Oscar Tengmark (Varnamo, Sweden), despite wet conditions, proved himself between the posts, notching seven saves.

Taylor finished with five shots, as did Sean Touey. Rowan, Lautaro Berisso, and Joel Richmond tallied three shots each.

Goldey-Beacom close the season with a trip to Newark, DE to face Wilmington on Wednesday at 3:30pm.
