Volleyball Wins its Second Straight, 3-0 at Alliance



Goldey-Beacom had its foot on the gas pedal throughout and recorded its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory of the season, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-20) at Alliance in Jersey City, NJ.
 
Goldey-Beacom in the opening set again leaned on sophomore Piper Nanouski (Ottawa, IL), who recorded five kills and just one error over eight attacks for a .500 hitting percentage.  Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) dished 12 assists in that time and fellow senior Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) added four kills.
 
The Lightning in the opener amassed 14 kills and just two errors over 23 swings for a .522 percentage.  They had 12 kills each of the last two sets, ending with a 38-26 overall edge.
 
Nanouski recorded 15 kills and 12 digs for her third double-double of the season, Spendlove notched 29 assists, Boyce had 11 kills and junior Rachel Cohen (Port Deposit, MD) added 14 digs for GBC (2-23, 1-11 CACC)
 
Rayah Burge had eight kills, Jordan Mack amassed 10 assists and Jamie Willix added 15 digs for Alliance (2-23, 0-13).
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Tuesday on Senior Night to face Chestnut Hill.  Match time is at 7:00 pm.
