Goldey-Beacom's late goal ended Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play in a 1-1 tie against Holy Family at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field.

With a conference tournament spot available, both teams fought to finish with a win. The Lightning stood at sixth, just behind the Tigers, who sat at fifth.

The game provided fairly even play before the Tigers took the lead in the 66
th minute. Lexi Murphy found Hannah Florentino in the middle of the box, who finished a volley into the right corner.

The Lightning continued to show offensive promise and in the 89
th minute, it paid off. Sophomore
Alyssa Petulla (Sicklerville, NJ) played the ball down the right side to fellow sophomore
Angela Lee (Warren, R.I.). Lee kept her composure, crossing the ball into the middle of the box to freshman
Mariah McQueen (Baltimore, MD). McQueen hustled to win a 50/50 ball with goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo and find the back of the net to equal the score with the Tigers.
Junior
Cayleigh Jackson (Hoddesdon, England) totaled three shots for the Lightning, while sophomores
Alex Lowry (Wenonah, NJ) and
Paulimar Coll (Grantville, PA) ended whith two shots a piece. Sophomore
Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) kept the defcit from growing, notching six saves.Â
For the Tigers, Florentino and Brynn Hess tallied three shots, Allison Loper and Gianna Monaco finished with two each. Pudlo ended with four saves on the match.Â

Despite the tie, the Tigers have clinched a conference tournament spot. A win for the Lightning against Felician on Saturday would clinch a tournament spot. Additionally, a loss for Wilmington (DE) on Saturday would lift hopes for a conference tournament spot.

Goldey-Beacom travel to Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday to face Felician at 4:30pm.
