Men's Soccer Dealt 4-0 Loss at Caldwell



Goldey-Beacom came up against tough play in Caldwell, NJ, falling 4-0 to Caldwell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
 
The goals for the Cougars came from two players, Andre Vieira and Alex Spencer. Vieira opened up scoring in the fourth minute with a dribble into the box provided a shot into the back of the net. Alex Spencer followed for the last goal of the first half in the 34th minute, finishing a goal off a deflection to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead.
 
Vieira found the net early into the second half off a pass into the box from Israel Dos Santos Neto. The final goal of the match came from Spencer in the 75th minute, dribbling down the left side and past the Lightning's freshman goalkeeper Oscar Tengmark (Varnamo, Sweden) to finish the match at 4-0.
 
Sophomore Patrick Short (Georgetown, Del.) lead the way for the Lightning, totaling two shots, with freshman Emanuel Bustos (Miami, FL) tallying two of his own. Tengmark continues to make his mark on the year, notching 11 saves on the match.
 
Vieira totaled six shots, while Spencer finished with four. Kalleb Braga and Angel Rodriguez notched three each.
 
Goldey-Beacom face Felician on Saturday at 7pm in Lyndhurst, NJ.
