Goldey-Beacom played tough, but was handed a 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss by Holy Family University at New Tiger Field in Philadelphia, PA.
The Tigers took the lead, 1-0 in the 30th minute after Carly Nothnagel knocked in a header off a corner kick, assisted by Jacqueline Ziegler.
The Lightning exhausted their efforts the remainder of the game to no avail, recording shots from several players. Freshman Lexi Coppola (Turnersville, NJ) and junior Melayna Immediato (Hockessin, Del.) each recorded two shots with two shots on goal in the effort.
Sophomore Noel Talbot (Westminster, MD) totaled four saves for the Lightning.
Goldey-Beacom plays again on Saturday as they travel to Waterbury, CT to face Post University. Game time set for 11 AM.
