Game Recap: Volleyball |

Volleyball Stays Hot with 3-0 Triumph Over Lincoln (PA)

Goldey-Beacom kept the pressure on Lincoln (PA) the entire match and made it three victories in its last four outings with a 3-0 triumph (25-19, 25-19, 25-10) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.

Goldey-Beacom in the opening set rattled off 12 kills as freshman Piper Nanouski (Ottawa, IL) continued to impress with four.  That run continued into the second set with the home side getting 10 kills and a .200 hitting percentage.  Nanouski again was on the spot with four kills.

Nanouski then went off again for four kills in the final set, when the Lightning held the Lions to just four kills and forced them into six errors.

Nanouski has another strong match with 12 kills, one short of her season best, to go with a .308 percentage.  Senior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) has been a vital part of the defense the last two seasons and that continued to show tonight, ending with 22 digs.

Junior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) once again took control of the offense with 27 assists, helping the Lightning (3-5) hold the Lions (0-3) to a .000 overall percentage and move to 10-0 in the all-time meeting.

Haley Loper notched eight kills and Jaida Lumpkin had 10 assists for Lincoln.

Goldey-Beacom is home Wednesday for its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener against Jefferson, beginning at 7:00 pm.
