Goldey-Beacom Gets Three Selected for CACC Weekly Honors

More awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference made its way to Pike Creek with sophomore Andrea Fresneda (Valencia, Spain) and freshman Macy Hendin-Walker (Ipswich, England) from women's tennis along with senior Peter Woelfl (Heilbronn, Germany) from men's cross country each making the league's Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Fresneda posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles over Brooke Williams of Molloy, which followed her teaming with sophomore Kristin Radeke (Bremen, Germany) for a 6-3 triumph at second doubles.
 
Hendin-Walker notched a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 6 singles over Gwen Kelly of Molloy after teaming with sophomore Elin Anderson (Conwy, Wales) for a 6-0 win at third doubles.
 
Both victories helped the Lightning to a 5-2 opening-day triumph over the Lions.
 
Woelfl got his second CACC mention this year after closing eighth Saturday at the Dutchmen Invitational, finishing the eight-kilometer trek in 27:04.6.  He was tabbed the league's Runner of the Week last week.
