Solis continues to impress at the plate with a six-game hitting streak. Freshman Kyle Walker (Wilmington, DE) holds a five-game hitting streak.
Awtry in game two clubbed a two-run homer in the first inning and junior Bryan Bell (Chesapeake City, MD) followed suit in the second for a 4-0 GBC lead.

In the fifth inning, Megginson singled to right field to bring home two runs. Solis later in the frame singled to right center to bring in two runs for a 10-0 Lightning lead.

The Lightning struck back in the sixth inning with five runs, keyed by RBI singles from Awtry and junior Jeff Gillis (Hockessin, DE).
Goldey-Beacom is back in action Saturday hosting Caldwell in a doubleheader at Doyle Field at noon.
Thoughts from Coach Riley:
On scoring 44 runs in the three games versus Nyack: "We wanted to be aggressive all weekend. We have a lot of guys throughout the order that can swing the bat and we wanted to stay aggressive, put a lot of balls in play and when we get on base. We like to be aggressive there as well. Guys just looking to get good pitches to hit and driving them."
On the biggest takeaway from being 7-0: "I think that we are becoming a team which is really the most important thing. All throughout our roster, we have had contributions from the top, bottom and all in between. I'm really happy with the enthusiasm for the game and just how much that they love each other as teammates."
On getting ready for Caldwell: "Caldwell is a really good team, so we are excited to get a chance to have another opportunity to go out and play good baseball. You know our game plan is similar to everyday. Our pitchers are going to go out there and fill up the strike zone, go play solid defense behind them and the hitters are looking to do a lot of damage at the plate and on the bases."
