Three for Goldey-Beacom Make the CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Another solid week for Goldey-Beacom Athletics saw senior Jenna Fannon (Newark, DE) named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, junior Alejandro Varela (Cali, Colombia) picked to the Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll and junior Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) tabbed to the Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll.

Fannon went on a tear last week with five goals over two games, helping Goldey-Beacom to a pair of victories. She notched a hat trick Thursday against Chestnut Hill and then scored twice Saturday vs. Nyack.

Fannon's 20 career goals already puts her eighth in school history and her 48 points is good for sole possession of ninth place in team annals. All six of her goals this season have come in the last three games and have the Lightning (2-2-2, 2-0-1 CACC) in a four-way tie for first place in the conference.

Varela scored twice last week, both Saturday against Nyack in Goldey-Beacom's 5-1 victory. He now is tied for the team lead with three goals and is tied for second with seven points, helping put the Lightning (5-3, 3-0) in a three-way tie for first place in the league.

Przywara ended last week with 37 kills, 30 digs and five aces over two matches. She closed Tuesday with 23 kills and 15 digs in a big victory over Wilmington before getting 14 and 15 Thursday at Chestnut Hill.

Przywara, who has a double-double in each of her last six matches, continues to climb the ladder among the program's elite. She now is fourth in school history with 907 career kills.

All three teams are in action Wednesday. The women's soccer team hosts New York Tech at 3:00 pm, the volleyball squad hosts Georgian Court at 7:00 pm and the men's soccer team plays at Molloy at 7:00 pm.
