Cross Country Teams Compete at the Hornet Harrier Invitational

Goldey-Beacom takes the course at Kernstown Battlefield for the Hornet Harrier Invitational in Winchester, VA. Both the men's and women's team finished 12th.

The men's team was led by freshman Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) who had another strong performance. Landvik-Larsen finished 20^th in 20:22.0 and continues to be a top competitor for the Lightning.

Freshman Chris Crossen (Magnolia, DE) ended in 21:23.1, junior Chris Townsend (Voorhees, NJ) finished in 21:26.5, sophomore Jon Roberts (Wilmington, DE) ended in 21:52.7 and senior Jacob Smeltzer (Merchantville, NJ) finished in 22:26.9.

The men's squad finished with a total of 295 points and Mary Washington won with 53 points.

The women's squad had another solid outing. Cara Jones once again set the pace for the women's team finishing in 22:37.1.

Freshman Lilly Crone (Felton, DE) ended in 23:21.4, senior Mary Ann Jones (Frederick, Md.) finished in 24:00.3, sophomore Sarah Webb (Newark, DE) ended 25:44.0 and junior Jessalynn Kenton (Harrington, DE) finished in 26:03.5.

The women's team finished with a total of 340 points and Salisbury won with a total of 54 points.

Goldey-Beacom is back in action on October 5^th at the Don Cathcart Invitational in Salisbury, MD. The men's and women's race will begin at 9:45 AM.
