The start of the spring campaign and the continuation of the basketball seasons marked Goldey-Beacom's ongoing flow of weekly awards presented by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

Trevor Jump (Wilmington, DE) was picked baseball's Pitcher of the Week, fellow sophomore Maurice Parson (New Castle, DE) was named to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll, junior Kasey Goshorn (Salisbury, MD) and freshman Braydee Whitman (Dagsboro, DE) each were tabbed to softball's Weekly Honor Roll with sophomore Marcellus Livingston (Linden, NJ) and freshman Sarah Round (Northampton, England) selected to their basketball team's Weekly Honor Roll.

Jump pitched great in his first game of the season, tossing a three-hit shutout over seven innings with six strikeouts and just two walks Friday at Limestone.

Jump last season was picked second team All-CACC, finishing 39th in the NCAA with 6.31 hits allowed per nine innings, 10th in the league with five wins and 10th with 7.28 strikeouts per game.  He was tabbed CACC Pitcher of the Week on April 16 and twice named the league's Rookie of the Week.

Parson batted .500 (4-for-8) in his Lightning debut Friday with two RBI.  He lined a go-ahead, two-run double in the top of the seventh inning of game one and then collected three hits in game two.

Parson last season competed for Delaware State, hitting .278 over 18 games with a .444 slugging percentage and a .412 on base percentage.

Goshorn batted .467 (7-for-15) last week over six games with a double and three RBI.  She lined an RBI double in the first inning of Saturday's contest against West Virginia State as part of her two hits and gave GBC the lead with a two-run single Sunday against Saint Anselm.

Goshorn last year was one of two for the Lightning to start all 37 contests, closing 21st in the league with nine doubles, 34th with a .321 batting average and 35th with a .473 slugging percentage.

Whitman had a more than impressive debut for the Lightning, hitting .417 (5-for-12) with two home runs, a double and three RBI.  She opened Friday with a home run in each contest, blasting a two-run shot against Kutztown and a solo long ball vs. Millersville.  Whitman went 2-for-2 vs. Kutztown and had a hit each Sunday against Saint Anselm and Lock Haven.

Whitman enters after being tabbed second team All-Henlopen Conference at third base for Indian River High School.  She also competed in basketball for the Indians.

Livingston averaged 20.0 points on 10-of-20 shooting, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals over two games.  He ended his week Saturday with 25 points on 6-of-11 shooting, six rebounds, shot 5-of-5 from 3-point range, 8-for-8 from the foul line and netted 18 of his points in the second half in Goldey-Beacom's 94-83 victory over Dominican (NY).  Livingston scored 15 points with three 3-pointers Wednesday at Jefferson.

It has been yet another stellar campaign for Livingston, who is 12th in the league with 15.4 points per game, fourth with a .405 three-point percentage, ninth with 49 three-pointers, 14th with 339 points and 14th with 122 field goals.  His play has the Lightning (12-13, 10-6 CACC) second in the CACC South Division.

Round averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and overall canned nine 3-pointers over two games.  She scored a career-best 27 points Saturday with five rebounds, five 3-pointers and five assists in Goldey-Beacom's tough double-overtime loss at Dominican.  Round opened her week with 14 points, four 3-pointers and three assists Wednesday at ninth-ranked Jefferson.

Round has enjoyed a strong debut campaign, sitting 21st in the conference with 12.6 points per contest, second with 64 three-pointers, 10th with 316 points and 14th with 111 field goals.  Goldey-Beacom (12-13, 8-8 CACC) is fourth in the CACC South Division, 1 1/2 games ahead of Holy Family (6-9) for the last conference-tournament spot.
