Two for Basketball Picked to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

More solid play from Goldey-Beacom's basketball programs saw senior Amanda McGrogan (Mount Laurel, NJ) picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll and freshman Jesiah West (Elizabeth, NJ) earn the same honor for Men's Basketball.
 
McGrogan averaged 19.5 points on 17-of-32 shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists over two games.  She made history Saturday in becoming the 10th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points.  The contest at Southern New Hampshire saw her close with 25 points on 11-of-20 shooting, four rebounds, three 3-pointers, three assists and three steals.
 
McGrogan followed with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, seven rebounds and three steals Sunday at No. 4 Saint Anselm.
 
One of the College's most gifted student-athletes, the 2019 second team All-CACC pick is sixth in the league with 16.0 points per game, 10th with a .375 three-point percentage, 18th with 13 steals and 21st with 30.3 minutes per game.  She is 10th in school history with 1,024 points, fourth with 256 assists, 10th with 89 three-pointers, 10th with 231 free throws and 10th with 352 field goals.
 
West closed with 13 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and two steals over 33 minutes Saturday against regionally ranked Southern New Hampshire.
 
He is seventh in the nation with 26 blocks, eighth with 2.6 blocks per game, 39th with a .591 field goal percentage, 54th with 20 steals and 70th with 2.0 steals per contest.  West's 26 blocks have him just five outside the program's single-season top 10 list.
 
Both teams Wednesday are home for a CACC doubleheader against the University of the Sciences.  The women's game is at 6:00 pm, followed by the men's contest at 8:00 pm.
