Shayla Boyce Once Again Picked Third Team All-CACC for Volleyball

Goldey-Beacom sophomore right side Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) again used her solid net play and incredible skills in being picked third team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for Volleyball a second consecutive season.

Boyce has given the Lightning plenty of stability with her strong hitting skills, both up top and the back line, in addition to her great blocking. One of the region's best, she is 59th in the nation with 3.58 kills per set, 65th with 347 kills, 66th with 4.04 points per set and third in the league in kills, kills per set and points per set.

Boyce again was a dynamo in posting three double-doubles this year. She notched a season-best 23 kills September 26 at Chestnut Hill and repeated that November 9 vs. Jefferson, two of the four matches she recorded at least 20 kills. Boyce also amassed 17 digs September 14 at Kutztown and four block assists October 26 vs. Bloomfield.

Boyce is seventh in team annals with 738 career kills and her 364 this season are good for seventh in program history.

Goldey-Beacom plays in the ultra-competitive CACC South Division and next season should be back in the mix with the return of Boyce and junior Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), the 2016 CACC Rookie of the Year and a 2018 third team all-conference pick.
