Goldey-Beacom falls to Georgian Court 3-0 (15-25, 12-25, 13-25) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match up in Lakewood, NJ.
In the first set, Georgian Court took an early lead going on a five point scoring streak. The Lightning continued to fight but Georgian Court pulled away to take the first set. Goldey-Beacom had nine kills to Georgian Courts 10.
In the second and third set, the court remained even with both Goldey-Beacom and Georgian Court exchanging points. Both teams put up a fight but Georgian Court again pulled away to take the second and third set to win 3-0.
Sophomore Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, N.J.) had nine kills and eight digs, junior Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, Va. ) had five kills, junior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) had 10 digs and sophomore Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, Nev.) had 18 assists and nine digs for Goldey-Beacom.Â
Amy Bruno had 11 kills, Aubrey Binkley had nine kills and Emily McCurley had 17 digs for Georgian Court.Â
