Lindsay Przywara Reaches 1,000 Career Kills for Volleyball in 3-2 Loss to Holy Family

Junior Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) became the second player in Goldey-Beacom history to reach 1,000 kills in her team's 3-2 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (22-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-15, 12-15) to Holy Family at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.

The countdown was on for a majority of the match and the chances increased when the Lightning forced a fifth set.  It was late in the match when the outcome was very much in doubt when Przywara pounded home her milestone kill off a feed from sophomore Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV).

Przywara becomes the first in school history to reach this mark as a junior and joins Kadi McCoy (2011-14) in this exclusive club.  The latter holds the top spot with 1,412 kills.

Przywara ended the match with 19 kills to sit exactly at 1,000 and had 12 digs for her 11th double-double of the season as well as ninth in the last 10 matches.  The 2016 CACC Rookie of the Year, 2018 third team all-league pick and 2018 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree entered the match first in the country in attacks per set.

The Lightning battled back in the third and fourth sets to force a decider, but the Tigers got a 10-7 edge in the stanza and posted a .219 hitting percentage.

Spendlove closed with 33 assists, junior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) recorded 31 digs and sophomore Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) got 11 kills for the Lightning (4-11, 1-6 CACC).

Carly Covington notched 18 kills and 12 digs, Gianna Pesognelli had 17 kills, Morgan Silks recorded 53 assists and 15 digs with Maeve Boylan adding 21 digs for the Tigers (9-8, 4-3).

Goldey-Beacom is home again Saturday against Dominican (NY), beginning at noon.
