Amanda McGrogan and Corey Taite Each Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

More solid play from junior Amanda McGrogan (Mount Laurel, NJ) and senior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) saw each once again named to their basketball teams' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
 
It is McGrogan's fourth pick this season to the Weekly Honor Roll.  It is Taite sixth honor this season in addition to him being named the league's Player of the Week on November 19 and December 17.
 
McGrogan averaged 23.0 points on 16-of-30 shooting, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals over two games.  She scored 24 points Tuesday on 9-of-17 shooting with five rebounds and two 3-pointers at Holy Family.  McGrogan played a major role in Saturday's 77-72 victory over Caldwell, ending with 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting four 3-pointers, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
 
McGrogan's play is one of the major reasons the women's squad (8-8, 4-3 CACC) has won three of its last four contests and looks to get back into the CACC Tournament.  She is 12th in the country with 78 free throws, 50th with 527.25 minutes, 76th with 59 assists and 91st with 16.3 points per contest.
 
She is ninth in school history with 189 career assists and her 67 career three-pointers are just five off the team's top 10.
 
Taite averaged 18.0 points on 11-of-22 shooting, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals over two games.  He scored 22 points Tuesday on 6-of-12 shooting with eight rebounds and five 3-pointers at Holy Family. Taite came back Saturday with 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two 3-pointers and two steals in Goldey-Beacom's 85-58 win over Caldwell.
 
One of the nation's most dynamic player, Taite has the Lightning (8-7, 6-1) in first place in the CACC South Division and looking for a second straight division title.  He is 31st in the country with 79 free throws, 51st with an .878 free throw percentage, 63rd with 19.3 points per game, 91st with 34.5 minutes per contest and 99th with 4.4 assists per game.
 
Taite is first in program history with 1,506 points, first with 467 field goals, second with 329 assists, second with 397 free throws, second with 175 three-pointers, third with 191 steals and fifth with 464 rebounds.
 
The men's team is home Wednesday against West Chester at 7:00 pm for the College's "Welcome Back Game."  The women are on the road Saturday to face Bloomfield at 1:00 pm.
