Volleyball Falls, 3-0, to East Stroudsburg



Goldey-Beacom returned to the court looking for a second straight win, but was dealt a 3-0 loss (13-25, 16-25, 21-25) by East Stroudsburg at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Goldey-Beacom in the second set owned a 6-0 lead before East Stroudsburg went on a 12-5 run to open a 12-11 cushion.  The Lightning forged a 12-12 tie, but the Warriors ended the set on a 13-4 run to cap a stanza in which they recorded 11 kills and five errors.
 
The Lightning got 10 kills in the third set to make things interesting, but the Warriors amassed 13 kills with only four errors for a .290 percentage.
 
Sophomore Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll each of the last two weeks, notched 13 kills.  She has recorded double figures in kills the last four matches and six times this season.
 
Senior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) posted 12 assists, freshman Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) amassed 10 and sophomore Courtney Bublitz (North East, MD) added 10 digs for the Lightning (2-7).
 
Andrea Coyle notched eight kills, Tina Predojevic dished 18 assists and Emily Meredith contributed 13 digs for the Warriors (8-1), who ended with a .245 hitting percentage.
 
Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday opens CACC play at Georgian Court, beginning at 6:00 pm.
