Men’s Soccer Falls, 3-0, at Dominican (NY)



Goldey-Beacom looked to get back on the winning track, but could not crack the scoreboard in a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss at Dominican (NY) in Orangeburg, NY.
 
The Chargers made sure the momentum was theirs by scoring twice in the first 18 minutes.  Ewan Gray was the culprit each time in the 14th and 18th minutes, taking a cross from Jean Paul Lyons on each marker for a 2-0 contest.
 
It still was a two-goal contest most of the way and the Lightning looked to get back into the match.  However, Lester Gudiel scored for the Chargers in the 88th minute off Lyons' third assist of the game for the final.
 
Eduardo Coimbra (Curitiba, Brazil) had four shots, fellow sophomore Ethan Maguire (Sydney, Australia) attempted three and senior Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) recorded six saves for the Lightning (1-5, 1-2 CACC).
 
Lyons and Gray had three shots apiece with Tyler Doll amassing five saves for Dominican (2-3, 2-1).
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Monday to start a busy week, which begins with a 4:30 pm non-conference match against Shippensburg.
