Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss by Chestnut Hill



Goldey-Beacom hung tough with Chestnut Hill over the first two sets before it was handed a 3-0 (23-25, 22-25, 11-25) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Lightning held a 27-22 lead in kills combined over the first two sets, but had 12 errors as opposed to the Griffins' nine and could not get either of the stanzas.  Chestnut Hill only had an 8-5 edge in kills in the third set, but opened a 16-3 lead on the scoreboard and was never headed.
 
Sophomore Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), a member of the CACC Weekly Honor Roll each of the last two weeks, amassed 16 kills and 10 digs for her second double-double of the season.  Freshman Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) dished 15 assists, senior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) had 13 with freshman Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) getting nine kills and 12 digs for the Lightning (2-9, 0-2 CACC).
 
Kennedy Sutton dished 24 assists, Janie Green notched 11 digs and Cassie Callahan had 10 for Chestnut Hill (3-6, 1-1), which finished with a .204 hitting percentage despite being on the wrong end of a 32-30 kills margin.
 
Goldey-Beacom is home again Friday, this time against Post at 7:00 pm.
