In what has been a season full of personal and team accomplishments, junior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) got another award in being tabbed first team All-East Region by the Conference Commissioner's Association.

Taite has done it all this season, which also helped him to be named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and a member of the CACC All-Tournament Team.  His playmaking, scoring, defense and overall team play have been the major reasons Goldey-Beacom is the champion of the CACC South Division for the third time in team history and first since 2012.

Among the national leaders practically all season, Taite is 62nd in the country with 19.4 points per game, 11th with 67 steals, 17th with 158 free throws, 20th with 2.23 steals per contest, 41st with 1,058 minutes, 45th with 581 points and 75th with 35.2 minutes per game.

The 2016 member of the City of Basketball Love All-Rookie Team is fourth in school history with 1,236 points, second with 318 free throws, second with a .396 three-point percentage, third with 148 three-pointers, fourth with 268 assists, fourth with 167 steals, fifth with 385 field goals and seventh with 388 rebounds.  Taite also is third in team history with 581 single-season points and second with 158 single-season free throws.

His in-season accomplishments include him being named CACC Player of the Week three times and to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll on eight occasions.

Taite's exploits have helped the Lightning on the national stage.  The unit is third in the country with 19.43 forced turnovers per game, seventh with 282 steals, seventh with a 4.6 turnover margin and 10th with 9.4 steals per contest.

Goldey-Beacom (20-10, 15-4 CACC) tied the school record for most victories, marking the fourth time it has done this, and notched back-to-back 20-win seasons for the second time in program history (2009-10, 2010-11).  It also advanced to the CACC Tournament semifinals and won 11 of its last 13 contests.
