This week's announcement of Goldey-Beacom honorees include junior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Marcellus Livingston (Linden, NJ) picked the league's Rookie of the Week and senior Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) tabbed to the CACC Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.

Taite averaged 23.0 points on 15-of-25 shooting, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals over two games.  He poured in 32 points on 10-of-17 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, three 3-pointers and two steals Tuesday in Goldey-Beacom's 87-76 victory over Chestnut Hill.  Taite came back Saturday with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, five assists and four rebounds in his squad's 95-77 triumph over Nyack.

He continues to amaze as one of the preeminent playmakers and scorers in the area, which once again has the Lightning headed to the CACC Tournament.  He is 54th in the country with 19.9 points per game, 16th with 48 steals, 22nd with 118 free throws, 25th with 2.18 steals per contest, 48th with 436 points and 64th with 35.2 minutes per game.

Taite's mark on the school record book keeps improving seemingly each game.  He is ninth in team history with 1,093 points, tied for fifth with 244 assists, second with 278 free throws, fifth with 148 steals, fourth with 127 three-pointers and seventh with 344 field goals.

It is Taite's third honor this season as Player of the Week on top of his seven appearances on the league's Weekly Honor Roll.

Livingston averaged 17.0 points on 12-of-21 shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals over two games.  He went on a tear Saturday against Nyack with 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting, five rebounds and three 3-pointers.  Livingston on Tuesday scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and four assists vs. Chestnut Hill.

He is 46th in the league with 10.3 points per game, 19th with a .750 free throw percentage, 33rd with 4.9 rebounds per contest and 39th with 25 three-pointers.  It is Livingston's second such honor, in addition to being picked Rookie of the Week on December 18.

The play of both is a major reason Goldey-Beacom (14-8, 10-3 CACC) is second in the CACC South Division, one-half game behind Jefferson (11-3), and is riding a season-best five-game winning streak.

Bryson averaged 16.5 points on 16-of-26 shooting and 12.5 rebounds over two games.  The stage on Saturday was hers, becoming the first in Goldey-Beacom's women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points, 1,000 career rebounds and 100 career blocks.  Bryson ended the contest with 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 14 rebounds in Goldey-Beacom's 68-54 win over Nyack after getting 15 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday vs. Chestnut Hill.

She is fifth in school history with 1,403 points, second with 571 field goals, third with 1,009 rebounds, third with 133 blocks and seventh with 260 free throws.  It is her fourth nod this season to the Weekly Honor Roll in addition to being named Defensive Player of the Week on January 15.

Both teams are in action Wednesday at Holy Family with the women's game starting at 6:00 pm and the men going at 8:00 pm.
