Corey Taite Makes Another Appearance on CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom junior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) has been picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for a seventh time this season.

This comes on top of him being tabbed CACC Player of the Week on December 18 and January 15.

Taite scored 22 points to go with 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals in addition to shooting 9-for-10 from the line in Goldey-Beacom's 86-71 victory Saturday at Post. Taite scored 15 points in the first half to keep the Lightning in the game before his squad went on a 20-0 run late in the contest for their sixth victory in the last seven games.

Again among the national leaders, Taite is 15th in the country with 45 steals, 21st with 107 free throws, 21st with 2.25 steals per game, 58th with 19.6 points per contest and 58th with 35.3 minutes per game.

The Lightning also continue to make noise on the national scene as they are third in the country with 20.6 forced turnovers, sixth with a 5.2 turnover ratio, seventh with 10.0 steals per game and ninth with 199 steals.

Goldey-Beacom (12-8, 8-3 CACC) is second in the CACC South Division, one-half game behind Jefferson (9-3).

Goldey-Beacom is home Tuesday against Chestnut Hill at 8:00 pm, which follows the women's 6:00 pm contest. A free t-shirt giveaway will take place during the doubleheader, courtesy of Tierra Mexi-Cali Grill.
