Goldey-Beacom rallied to defeat crosstown foe Wilmington (24-26, 25-18, 25-8, 25-14) on Wednesday night at the Wilmington University Athletics Complex in Newark, DE.

Freshman Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD) turned in her ninth double-double of the season, posting 22 kills and 16 digs. The two-time CACC Rookie of the Week makes her ferocious kills and backline play the norm for Goldey-Beacom (4-9, 3-2 CACC).

Senior Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA) played with high efficiency slamming 16 kills for a .483 hitting percentage. Sophomore Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) led the Lightning in digs with 21. Freshman Sydney Fulton (Wilmington, DE) assisted on 29 points.

Freshman Morgan Andrews (Wilmington, DE) contributed 16 digs and junior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) added 18 assists.

Wilmington (5-10, 1-4) got contributions from Jill Braunsberg (12 assists and 12 digs) and Jenna Brown (15 digs).

Goldey-Beacom brings its two-match winning streak to the Joseph West Jones Center on Saturday against Dominican (NY). The CACC match is scheduled to start at noon.
