Men’s Soccer Dealt 2-0 Loss at Wilmington (DE)

Goldey-Beacom played Wilmington (DE) to a standstill in the opening half, but surrendered two goals after intermission for a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss in Newark, DE.

Wilmington got on the board 1:37 into the second half when Fredrik Bentdal launched a corner kick that was headed home by Ben Jordan for his second goal of the year.

The Wildcats made it 2-0 in the 56th minute.  Bentdal's original shot was saved by junior Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa), but Lorne Bickley put a back heel on it and in for his seventh goal of the season.

Junior Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany) and senior Lorenzo Gama (Bali, Indonesia) had two shots apiece with Bismilla making two saves for the Lightning (4-3, 2-2 CACC).  Aghrim earlier today was picked to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.

Dimitrios Topouzlis attempted two shots and Vinny Tasca recorded five saves for the Wildcats (3-2-2, 3-1).

Goldey-Beacom on Thursday visits New York Tech for a 4:00 pm match in Old Westbury, NY.
