Volleyball Defeated by Holy Family, 3-1, on Senior Day


 
Goldey-Beacom Volleyball got a little déjà vu receiving its second loss to Holy Family, 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 14-25, 16-25), this season.

Freshman Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD) recorded her 19th double-double of the season, consuming 10 kills and 17 digs. The Lightning also had notable performances from senior Jada Canteen (Newark, DE) striking nine kills with a .429 hitting percentage and sophomore Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) tallying nine kills and 12 digs. The setters, junior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) and freshman Sydney Fulton (Wilmington, DE), registered 15 assists and nine digs apiece.

Both Chase Wassel (17 kills and 16 digs) and Carly Covington (12 kills and 19 digs) accomplished double-doubles helping the Tigers (19-9, 14-4 CACC) achieve victory.

Goldey-Beacom (11-17, 9-8 CACC) plays its regular season home finale versus University of the Sciences on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm in the Jones Center.
