Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss by Georgian Court



Goldey-Beacom could not build off a strong start and was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (19-25, 19-25, 19-25) by Georgian Court at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Lightning in the first set recorded 13 kills and a .243 hitting percentage, but the Lions had 14 kills and a .387 percentage.  The visitors in the second set overcame eight errors to win with 13 kills and then in the third set won eight of the final 12 points to take the match.
 
Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD), named CACC Rookie of the Week for a third time this season, ended with 16 kills and 18 digs for her 10th double-double of the season.  Freshman Sydney Fulton (Wilmington, DE) dished 18 assists, junior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) had 12 and freshman Morgan Andrews (Wilmington, DE) amassed 12 digs for the Lightning (5-10, 4-3 CACC).
 
Aubrey Binkley had 10 kills, Ashley Pierson notched 23 assists, Peggy Rosario recorded 16 digs and Gaby Merced had 12 for the Lions (4-12, 4-3)
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Friday against Bloomfield.  Please note that match is a 6:00 pm start.
