Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Win at Lincoln



Goldey-Beacom handily won the first two sets and needed just 69 minutes to record a 3-0 victory (25-18, 25-13, 25-21) over Lincoln (PA) in Oxford, PA.
 
GBC held an 8-1 lead in the first set and closed the frame with a decided 16-6 kills edge.  The second set was more of the same with the Lightning opening an 11-5 lead and ending with a 14-0 kills advantage.
 
The Lightning finished with a 42-13 kills edge and owned a .330 hitting percentage as opposed to -.068 for the Lions.
 
Senior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) closed with 14 kills and six digs, freshman Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) had 13 kills, seven digs and a .455 hitting percentage, sophomore Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) totaled 38 assists and freshman Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) added six digs for the Lightning (4-4).
 
Florence now stands at 971 assists and moved into fifth place in school history.
 
Mariah Russell had eight kills and Shanna King totaled 11 assists for Lincoln (3-11).
 
Goldey-Beacom returns home Friday for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match against Philadelphia U., starting at 7:00 pm.
