Volleyball Handed 3-0 Setback at Dominican (NY)

Goldey-Beacom rallied from a second-set deficit to almost square the match, but in the end was dealt a 3-0 loss (17-25, 26-28, 20-25) at Dominican (NY) in Orangeburg, NY.

Down a set, GBC found itself in a 12-7 hole before recording the next five points for a 12-12 tie.  Three Chargers errors were followed by an ace from freshman Courtney Bublitz (North East, MD) and a kill from junior Jada Canteen (Newark, DE) to square things.

The Lightning then had a 25-24 lead on Bublitz' ace and a 26-25 cushion on a kill from senior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE), but could not convert set point each time.  Dominican on set point got an ace from Angela Kim for the 2-0 lead.

The Chargers overall took advantage of a 43-35 kills advantage and had a solid .330 hitting percentage, versus just .159 for the Lightning.
