Lexi Bruno and Britani Bryson Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

In what continues to be a recurring theme for Goldey-Beacom's women's basketball program, sophomores Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) and Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) each were picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
 
It is Bruno's sixth appearance this season on the Weekly Honor Roll to go with two nods as the league's Player of the Week.  Bryson also makes the Weekly Honor Roll a sixth time and has been named Player of the Week once.
 
Bruno averaged 20.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals over two games last week.  She had a huge game Saturday vs. Nyack, closing with 23 points, six assists, three rebounds, three steals and shot 7-of-12 from the field in her squad's big 81-68 victory.  Bruno also had 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals Tuesday at Chestnut Hill.
 
Bruno impressive point total in just two seasons now stands at 831 career, moving into ninth place on the school's list.  She also is third in team history with 258 career assists and tied for third with 116 career 3-pointers.
 
Continuing to be among the nation's elite, Bruno is 12th in the country with 112 assists, 20th with 745 minutes played, 21st with 5.3 assists per game, 33rd with 133 field goals, 33rd with a 2.07 assist-to-turnover ratio, 39th with 49 steals, 43rd with 51 three-pointers and 59th with 17.3 points per contest.
 
Bryson averaged 17.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks over two contests.  She had 14 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks Tuesday at Chestnut Hill before getting 21 points and 12 rebounds Saturday vs. Nyack.
 
Bryson improved to 67 career blocked shots, one in back of fourth place in GBC history.  Her 35 this season is the ninth-best mark in team annals.
 
Also among the country's best, Bryson is 10th with 226 rebounds, 21st with 10.8 rebounds per game, 21st with 4.0 offensive rebounds per contest, tied for 31st with nine double-doubles, 47th with 35 blocked shots, 66th with 695 minutes and 13th in the CACC with 13.4 points per game.
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Wednesday against defending-league-champion Holy Family, starting at 6:00 pm.
