Volleyball Sweeps Concordia (NY)



Goldey-Beacom broke out the brooms thanks to an overall solid performance in a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) over Concordia (NY) in Bronxville, NY.
 
GBC grabbed the first set with 10 kills and five service aces, including five kills and a .444 hitting percentage from senior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE).  The second set saw sophomore Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) dish 10 assists, the Lightning get 12 kills and the Clippers commit seven errors.
 
Freshman Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) went off in the third set to the tune of seven kills and no errors over 11 swings for a .636 percentage.  GBC overall had a 34-22 kills edge with a .253 percentage for its third straight victory in Bronxville.
 
Przywara had 12 kills and a .320 percentage, McCarthy recorded 11 kills and a .360 percentage and Florence amassed 29 assists for the Lightning (6-8, 3-6 CACC).  McCarthy now is fourth in school history with 774 kills .
 
Jenny Martin had 19 assists and Michelle Klimas pounded nine kills for the Clippers (0-11, 0-9), who ended with a .000 percentage.
 
Goldey-Beacom is off until next Friday, when it visits Georgian Court for a 6:00 pm match in Lakewood, NJ.
