Volleyball Handed 3-1 Loss at Georgian Court



Goldey-Beacom battled to climb even with Georgian Court after two sets, but in the end was handed a 3-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (17-25, 25-20, 17-25, 19-25) in Lakewood, NJ.
 
The Lightning in the second set posted a 15-10 kills edge to close even.  However, the Lions notched 13 kills in the third set and posted a 10-5 advantage in the fourth.
 
Senior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) had 11 kills, sophomore Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) dished 31 assists and freshman Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) recorded 14 digs for the Lightning (6-9, 3-7 CACC).
 
Peggie Rosario recorded 13 kills, Kelsie Blue had 10, Kelsey Oliver amassed 38 assists and Janelli Torres totaled 16 digs for the Lions (11-12, 8-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Saturday against Caldwell, beginning at noon.
