Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss by Post



Goldey-Beacom bore witness to a passing and hitting clinic by Post and was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (11-25, 9-25, 15-25) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The entire match showed why the Eagles are the two-time defending league champions.  They closed with an astounding .402 hitting percentage, 38 kills and remarkably only five errors.  Over the first two sets combined, they had 25 kills and two errors for a .479 percentage.
 
The Lightning could only watch with 23 kills overall, 22 errors and a .011 percentage.
 
Brianna Root's spot-on passing was the genesis for Post as she closed with 35 assists.  Skylar German recorded 11 kills and a .529 percentage, Morgan Griffin notched 10 kills, Sarah Ryder recorded 13 digs and Hailey Griffin added 12 for the Eagles (14-3, 6-1 CACC).
 
Freshman Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) had eight kills, sophomore Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) dished 18 assists and freshman Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) contributed 11 digs for the Lightning (5-8, 2-6).
 
Goldey-Beacom is on the road Saturday at Concordia (NY) for a 5:00 pm match.
