Volleyball Falls, 3-0, at Millersville



Goldey-Beacom once again battled to the end, but was dealt a 3-0 loss (20-25, 19-25, 20-25) at Millersville in Millersville, PA.
 
Millersville recorded a .294 hitting percentage in the opening set with Erin Harman getting six kills to grab the early lead.  GBC had a 13-11 kills advantage in the second set, but the Marauders closed things in the third set with a 13-7 edge to go with a .250 percentage.
 
Senior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) had 10 kills, Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) recorded eight and 12 digs, fellow freshman Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) amassed 10 and sophomore Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) totaled 28 assists for the Lightning (4-7).
 
Florence now has 1,047 career assists, moving into fourth place in school history.
 
Harman closed with 13 kills, Kelsi Ceriani totaled 11 kills and a .667 hitting percentage, Katie Laughman notched 22 digs and Grace Dawson dished 20 assists for the Marauders (4-10).
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Wednesday for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match vs. Wilmington (DE), beginning at 7:00 pm.
