Men’s Soccer Draws, 0-0, With Post



Goldey-Beacom held the shots advantage for the match and pitched a shutout in the overtimes, but left Waterbury, CT with a 0-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference draw at Post.
 
The Lightning's 14-8 advantage included 5-0 in overtime.  Junior Artur Zvinchuk (Bonn, Germany) had a shot in the 96th minute saved by Jon Hanlon and sophomore Chahin Aghrim (Bonn. Germany) also had his attempt thwarted by Hanlon in the 107th minute.
 
Aghrim closed with five attempts and sophomore Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) made five saves for the Lightning.
 
Hanlon closed with four saves for the Eagles (5-7-3, 4-3-3 CACC).
 
GBC (9-5-2, 6-3-2) is tied with Caldwell (6-3-2) for second place in the league at 20 points with one game left.  Wilmington (DE) (6-3-1) and Georgian Court (6-3-1) are tied for fourth at 19 points, but each have a game in hand.  The top four teams host a quarterfinal in the CACC Tournament.
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Tuesday against Wilmington (DE) at 3:30 pm.  Please note the match will take place at Kirkwood Soccer Complex in New Castle.
