Men’s Soccer Post 3-0 Blanking at East Stroudsburg



Goldey-Beacom buried a trio of second-half goals and posted its third victory in the last five outings, 3-0 at East Stroudsburg in East Stroudsburg, PA.
 
The contest was nip and tuck most of the way before Goldey-Beacom finally opened the scoring in the 67th minute.  Freshman Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany) had the perfect opportunity and found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
 
The Warriors only had one shot between that and the Lightning's second tally that came in the 82nd minute.  Sophomore Manuel Berto (Valencia, Spain) launched a perfect free kick that junior Rerom Delys (Vila Velha, Brazil) headed in for his team-leading fourth goal of the campaign and a 2-0 visitors' lead.
 
The hit parade was not done as Aghrim made it a three-point night, assisting in the 86th minute on the second goal of the year from sophomore Omar Hernandez (West Grove, PA) for a 3-0 margin.
 
Three players had two shots apiece for GBC (3-5) and freshman Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) totaled six saves.
 
Casey Choffy had five shots and Will Boerema made six saves for the Warriors (5-4).
 
Goldey-Beacom hits the road again Thursday to visit Millersville for a 6:00 pm start.
