Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Handed 2-0 Blanking at No. 10 Millersville



Goldey-Beacom once again battled and played competitively, but ended up on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision at 10th-ranked Millersville in Millersville, PA.
 
The Lightning stayed in a scoreless game for a majority of the first half despite being outshot, 11-6.  But the defense was breached in the 29th minute when Ryan Phelps launched a cross for Jaime Vasquez, who headed it home for a 1-0 contest.
 
GBC continued to stay in the match and looked for an equalizer.  But it was the Marauders who got the second goal of the match as Vazquez assisted on Christopher Sosa's 35-yard shot with exactly 35 minutes left.
 
Sophomore Fernando Sanchez (Madrid, Spain) had three shots for the Lightning (3-6).
 
Vazquez and Marcus Frangakis attempted five shots apiece and Kohl Orner amassed four saves for Millersville (9-0-1), which notched its third straight shutout.
