Women’s Soccer Dealt 4-1 Loss at Caldwell

Goldey-Beacom was breached for three first-half goals in just over 16 minutes and was handed a 4-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss at Caldwell in Caldwell, NJ.

Gianna Klucker got the Cougars' offense going by taking a cross from Delaney Boyer and scoring in the 22nd minute for a 1-0 lead.  The margin grew to 2-0 in the 35th minute when Amanda Wroblewski lined up a 25-yard free kick and buried it for her second goal of the year.

Caldwell's lead went to 3-0 in the 38th minute as Emily Valerian took a loose ball and deposited it home for her second tally of the campaign.

The Lightning got some life in the 53rd minute to cut their deficit to 3-1.

Kelsey Vick (Clarksboro, NJ) dribbled and fed a pass to fellow sophomore Amy Runciman (Luton, England), who found the back of the net.

Klucker restored her squad's three-goal lead in the 87th minute, scoring off a pass from Mia Haugen for the final.

Vick amassed three shots and junior Cindell Aguirre (El Paso, TX) made six saves for the Lightning (1-3, 1-1 CACC).

Valerian had a day off the bench, attempting seven shots with four on cage.  Mary Kanzler ended with four saves for the Cougars (2-5, 2-0).
