Cross Country Takes to the Course at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge

Goldey-Beacom took part in its second meet of the season, competing at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge in Kutztown, PA.

Senior Aaron Easter (Elkton, MD) again was impressive on the men's side, ending 52nd in 28:24.8 over the 8,000-meter course. Senior Logan Jones (Frederick, MD) closed 78th in his first meet of the year by finishing in 29:40.6, sophomore Victor Rueda-Jimenez (Milford, DE) was 83rd in 29:49.2, senior Jonathan Mbwiri (Newark, DE) raced in 30:46 and sophomore Solomon Cox (Rehoboth Beach, DE) finished in 35:51.5.

The women's crew was paced by sophomore Jordan Dodson (Port Deposit, MD), who finished the 6,000-meter trail 55th in 28:08.5. Sophomore Crystal McCollum (Elkton, MD) was 56th in 28:17.8, senior Leshae Lee (Edgewood, MD) finished 63rd in 33:02.7, senior Sarah Grzybowski (Wilmington, DE) closed 64th in 33:31.3 and freshman Kayla Lucas (Port Deposit, MD) ended 66th in 40:01.4.

Goldey-Beacom is back on the course next Saturday, when it hosts the GBC Fall Classic at Carousel Park in Wilmington. The women's race is at 9:00 am and the men go at 9:45 am.
