Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Second-Half Explosion Leads Men’s Soccer to 4-1 Victory at Felician

Goldey-Beacom found the back of the net three times in the second half and was never headed in a 4-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory at Felician in Lyndhurst, NJ.

The match was level, 1-1, when the Lightning took the lead for good.  Junior Olof Tapper (Linkoping, Sweden) rebounded his own shot in the 58th minute and netted his first goal of the season for a 2-1 margin.

Fernando Sanchez (Madrid, Spain) rocketed home a shot off a feed from fellow sophomore Artur Zvinchuk (Bonn, Germany) in the 71st minute for a 3-1 contest.  Rerom Delys (Vila Velha, Brazil) made it 4-1 in the 85th minute when he received a pass from fellow junior Erik Tapper (Linkoping, Sweden) and scored from 10 yards for his second marker of the campaign.

Sanchez, Delys and sophomore Omar Hernandez (West Grove, PA) had four shots apiece for GBC, which owned a convincing 26-11 shots edge.  Freshman Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) made two saves.

Jorge Pelayo attempted four shots and John Burns made 11 saves for the Golden Falcons.

Kenny Monfort opened the scoring for Felician in the fifth minute and freshman Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany) tied the score for GBC in the ninth minute.

Goldey-Beacom is home Wednesday against Chestnut Hill, starting at 4:00 pm.
