Volleyball Falls, 3-0, to Georgian Court in Home Finale



Goldey-Beacom ran into a squad which had everything to play for and was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (7-25, 12-25, 17-25) by Georgian Court at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Lions in the first set rolled to a 12-5 kills edge and had a .550 hitting percentage with only one error.  Peggy Rosario amassed five kills and a .714 percentage in that span.
 
The second set witnessed Georgian Court getting a 10-5 kills advantage and Kelsey Oliver totaling eight assists.  The finale saw the Lions' defense come through with Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa amassing seven digs.
 
Sophomore Shyanne Shank (Lebanon, PA) had five kills, freshman Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) dished 10 assists and senior Mackenzie Wilson (Wilmington, DE) added nine digs for the Lightning (7-20, 2-16 CACC).
 
Kelsie Blue finished with seven kills to go with a .500 percentage, Rosario also had seven kills, Oliver notched 14 assists, De La Rosa had 11 digs and Taylor Winchester added 10 for Georgian Court (19-14, 12-6), which strengthened its chance of making the CACC Tournament
 
Goldey-Beacom ends its season Saturday in a noon match at Wilmington (DE).
